在今天這種重商而金錢掛帥的工商社會, 具備較高文化水平, 對個人而言,的確沒有甚麼優勢及好處可言

反觀,具備較低文化水平, 卻會妨礙人們的視野及分析力的發展

舉馬英九為例, 儘管人口700百萬的香港其大學數量已從1972年的3所, 增設為1989年的10所,但是當代香港人的思維模式仍然停留在非常幼稚的發展階段 ---- 今天香港人,不分男女, 在歷年來云云眾多不懂廣東話的台灣從政者當中,為何對馬英九情有獨鍾, 其最重要原因不外乎下列两項:
(1)馬在香港出生 (born in Hong Kong), 及
(2)馬的外貌英俊 (handsome)

上述兩項全都是馬英九雙親的功勞,與馬英九個人努力,才幹及品德無關

可悲的香港人! 既長不大, 又教不來!


Why Ma is popular with Hongkongers

Yesterday in Taiwan, Taipei Mayor Ma was elected the Chairman of the opposition Kuominting (KMT, or National Party)

Unsurprisingly, the news was widely reported as a headline by the Hong Kong media

Although Hong Kongers are generally disinterested in political events happening in Taiwan, Ma is always the exception

Unlike their Taiwanese counterparts who elected Ma to be Taipei majoy and now KMT chairman on the grounds that Ma was well-educated and has had cleans hand in the corrupt political circle in Taipei, Hong Kongers are enthusiastic admirers of Ma, simply because Ma was born in Hong Kong and is handsome

I am grateful to the parents of the new KMT chairman Ma for deciding in 1950 to come to Hong Kong to give birth to the then good-looking baby Ma, because, without the good deed, Hong Kongers nowadays might see Taipei solely as a monster

In fact, the old Mr and Mr Ma were unable to greatly improve the image of Taipei in the eyes of Hong Kongers, because, in this regard, Hong Kongers should be accountable for their own horizons and thinkings

Despite the development of tertiary education in the past two decades, Hong Kong remains a commercial city which is mundane and materialistic
